Heartwarming and beautiful
By Alice
This wonderful book is very heartwarming and uplifting. It is about an unlikely couple, almost a Mutt and Jeff, who end up being soul mates who live happily ever after, of course after overcoming several speedbumps along the way. Not the least of which is that one of our heroes, Joe, is a straight, rough and tumble, every day working guy. He literally bumps into our other hero, Mike, a very talented but emotionally vulnerable gay designer, while each of them are shopping for new Ford pickup trucks. Trials and tribulations abound, but true love wins out in the end.

Hilarious
By Kimbermcfar
I love this writer.. Not only is this a sweet romance, it is a laugh a minute! Here is a quote "his hot male milk covering my skin with its lava-like stickiness" This author sure has a way with words! So maybe not the most believable gay for you book.. But I can suspend my disbelief for such a smooth ride. I will definitly be looking for more from this author.

Not worth the price and too cheezy
By brandi
I expected some difference in size and masculinity between the two characters just because of the cover art, but the femininity of Mike just was not my cup of tea. I also did not like the teen-drama feel when Mike was ready to chuck his body to the woods for animal consumption when Joe went out on a date. The way Mike swoons and faints when met with stress is simply lazy writing to me. Instead of writing through it, dealing with it, the main character is out like a light and wakes up when everything is calm again. Also, the book is essentially over once Mike wakes up from swooning. The connection is made at that point and there is no other drama or meaningful mile markers. There is no freak out at all that the essentially straight guy is now gay or bisexual. There is nothing but complete and unbelievable acceptance from everyone in their lives. The last several chapters were nothing but a laundry list of stuff that happened over the next two years and they lived happily ever after. It should end pretty much at the 2/3rds point and be done--maybe worth about $3. I get the "gay for you" concept, as cliche as it is, I can get into it if the author makes me believe it. That was not the case here. The Brandon side plot was meaningless except to prove that Joe is a brute when he wants to be. So what. The sex was just okay. Very short snippets with a lot of "Tunnel of Love", "Mini Me" and "Man Milk" references which were just too cheezy and ridiculous for my taste, but to each his own, I suppose. Both main characters were decently developed although it is written in first person so we don't get a glimpse of how Joe feels at all except for when he's being overt. This was the biggest change for him, so having his thoughts would have been nice, but again, lazy writing. We could have identified with him so much more if we were given the opportunity to see his mind set, especially after having dealt with such major loss in his life. I just cannot puzzle piece his past and make it fit with the end of this book without his pov. A happy ending that really did not leave me with much closure to their story at all.
